Know When To Quit

Home business professionals have many reasons for choosing to work from home. These reasons generally include spending more time with our families, setting our own work hours, having more freedom to do the things we want to do, and controlling our own destinies.

These are all good, valid reasons for choosing to work from home. Unfortunately, many home business professionals lose sight of the reasons they started working from home in the first place.

Anyone who operates a home business knows that we tend to work twice as many hours as those who work in traditional businesses. Many home business professionals become work-a-holics, spending twelve to twenty hours per day, seven days a week, working. It becomes a habit.

This habit can jeapordize your health and your family. It can take away your joy of living. One day, you will wake up and find that you have lost everything that you were working from home to have.

There are ways to avoid developing this habit. If you already have this habit, there are ways to break it. Start by setting regular "office" hours, and regular "work" days. Let your family know what these hours are.

When you make your work schedule, make sure that all of your tasks are scheduled during these hours - no exceptions and no excuses. If you are already a work-a-holic, this will be hard to adjust, but you can adjust if you work at it. If you are not yet a work-a-holic, determine work days and hours, make a schedule, and stick to it from the very beginning.

Schedule two days off each week. This is your weekend, and should coincide with your family's weekend. Not checking your email for two solid days will be tough, but you can do it. Turn the computer off, close the door to your office, and go "home" for the weekend.

Make plans with your family. Get out of the house. Take your spouse for a walk. Go on a picnic. Go see a movie. It doesn't matter what you do, as long as it isn't work, and it includes your family.

If there are no family events planned for your weekend, find a hobby. Make sure your hobby doesn't have anything to do with your work, and try to include your family. The point of working at home, was to have more time to spend with these important people.

During your work week, after quitting time, take some time for yourself to recharge your batteries. Try to avoid thinking about work. Eat meals with your family, watch television with them, play a board game or cards. Whatever you do, make sure that your office door remains closed until it is time to work again.

It is a good idea to plan at least one week long vacation during the year. Your business will not fail if you take a week off. It may fail if you constantly take a week off, however. The key is to know how much is too much, and how little is not enough.

It doesn't matter what you do, as long as you aren't working during your "off" time. Taking time off will refresh you. You will be rested and ready to go when it is time to work again. You will find that you enjoy life more. You will enjoy working from home more. Your health may improve if you get more exercise as well. Your family will certainly enjoy having your time and attention.

Know this before you start your home business

As 2005 dawns on earth I am quite thoughtful. Many persons started their business in 2004. Some succeeded and some left disappointed.

This New Year would bring many new home entrepreneurs to the net. How many of them would continue with what they started? How many would leave disappointed and disgruntled? How many of them would become a source of inspiration for others in waiting? How many would detest many others just because they failed.

I hear crackers bursting as people welcome New Year with full celebrations.

For those who have left, I feel sorry. They have left a road to wealth, richness and freedom from daily grind. For those who are about to begin, I extend my welcome. 2005 is predicted to be the best year till date for home business. Equally for those who are making millions right now or just starting.

Whatever kind of business you are in, wherever you are from, home business will make you rich.

The reason many people do not start a home business is because they think they can’t do it. The reason why people leave it is because they expect instant results.

Every body knows good fruits take time to yield. It is same with your home business.

Whether you plan to sell your own products or join affiliate programmes, patience and perseverance is the name of the game. You must maintain your efforts. Give your business time to mature.

Otherwise one falls into traps of frustration and frustrated man cannot think clearly.

Clarity of thought is must for success.

Without going into finer details these are prerequisites of home business. Each of that can be searched for and you would get enough details

•A product to sell (Create your own or sell other’s). Your own product can be either digital (e-book) or physical (book). Internet sells almost everything. With some efforts you can sell your product too.

If you do not have one you can join affiliate programmes of already selling products. It is simple. you sell their product and they give you commission on every sale. They have made a sale, they are happy.You make money you are happier.

•A website for your products. This is you web store to host the product you choose to sell. If people who visit your store choose to buy, you make money. Millions of people use internet everyday. You can imagine the scope.

•Hosting. This is space on the web land where your web site will be placed. These services are available both free of cost and at a price.Price varies as per service provider and what you are looking for. But if you aim for professional results use the paid ones.

•Promoting your site. This is to let people know that you have a store which sells those products. This is the difficult part but as you gather knowledge it becomes easier too. Various marketing strategies are available in plenty. You can use as per your budget.

Just a word of caution. Don’t spend your money on hypes promising instant results. There is nothing like that even on the net.

Once you start, start with full throttle. Do not hesitate for hesitation will hold you back. Learn the essentials as you go along. Gather knowledge and use it for expansion of your business.

A legitimate multilevel marketing business is a great way to get a legitimate residual income that could change your life from the 9-5 rut to a life of financial freedom. But there are many pitfalls out there that will make achieving this difficult. (Or even illegal depending on the MLM you decide to sign up with.)

There are several ways for a person to ascertain whether or not a multi level marketing company is or is not a legitimate MLM. There are a few things that can be checked to make sure you are not going to get involved in something that breaks the fifty or so statutes that govern this type of company.

TYPE OF PRODUCT

One of the ways to separate the legitimate MLM from the scams is by looking at the type of product that the multilevel marketing home business will provide. Many multilevel marketing home business ideas work on the principle that they will be charging way too much for the service or product they will provide. So check that the company is charging a fair price for their product. Also check that you can become involved with the company without having to pay for a huge amount of inventory.

This is also the way that many scams operate, on the idea of selling to people who think that they will be selling in large volume from the get go and not caring what happens to the investor after that. If you have to invest thousands in a multilevel marketing idea then it is best to head in the other direction fast.

It is best to ensure that you can be a sales representative with little or no more than the purchase of a sales kit or demonstration materials.

COMPENSATION PLAN

Looking at the compensation plans of your prospective multilevel marketing company is one fo the best indicators as to whether or not it is a scam. Check whether the compensation plan pays bonuses or commissions purely on the basis of recruiting more people into the company. If it does, it is illegal. It is also not a legitimate MLM if it pays headhunting fees as this is also illegal.

A home business idea such as a legitimate MLM is great because of the relatively low financial risk involved. This may not ring true to the work at home business ideas you have seen but the good multi level marketing companies will buy back the sales kit and any re-sellable materials from any of those who wish to cancel. This is actually required by law so have a look at this before handing any money over.

PERSONAL USE OF GOODS

The FTC also rejects the idea of personal use of the goods or services that you will be providing as a legitimate retail sale. But the debate continues over whether or not the sales to non-participants and purchases in reasonable amounts are retail. There are big grey areas in the world of multilevel marketing so keep abreast of the laws and statutes in your state.

TRAINING

Probably the single best way to ascertain whether or not a company is a legitimate MLM is to look at the training that will be provided in the way of sales and recruitment. Any company worth its salt will want to have people who know what they are doing. So they will provide training to those who have little or no idea how to sell or market a product.

Also, having a clear idea as to what you will be doing is important in choosing a work at home multilevel marketing business. It is astounding to see how many companies do not stipulate whether or not you will be in a selling, supervising, distributing or soliciting role which is required under federal law.

Let me start this discussion with a simple question. On the Internet why folks search for “Work At Home” or “Work From Home?” Reason may be countless. But what they are exactly looking?

“Job or Employment”

Yes, in-fact more than 80% of the folks are looking for jobs rather than biz. But this Internet Ocean can't generate unlimited job opportunities. It can only generate unlimited business opportunities (There is a wide difference between biz opportunity & money making opportunity!)

Folks spend countless hours on the Internet searching for jobs. Obviously they don't find any job, because there is no job at all. But they find money making as well as biz opportunities; they join to such opportunities because it’s FREE. They don't read; they don't listen; they don't try to understand how the system works? They don't work. But they jump from program to program & biz to biz.

They don't stay focused at a single point. They don't have long-term goals. But they live in the dream world counting million dollars!

In simple words majority of the “Work At Home” folks “Do Nothing & Expect Income.” There is one more chance that, they try to do too much! So at the beginning stage it would definitely cause for failure.

The one & only way to earn legal money on the Internet is to “sell a product” or “sell a service” Simple! But “work at home” folks realize this truth rarely & lately. By the time they realize this truth, they decide themselves “No, I can't sell anything on the Internet, I can't recruit anyone, Internet biz is no more fits to me, so I should quit this”.

An average of 40-60% folks decide so and run away from the Internet biz (sad truth for us) And they badmouth each & every programs or biz opportunity in which they have been involved.

Some time folks get attracted by “Do Nothing & Get Rich Schemes” (Scams!) If they have money they will throw it on these types of programs. “That's the END of Work At Home!”

So in Internet language, ”Work At Home” doesn't mean that “job” or “Employment”. It means business, but it has to be done like a job! Consistence, Persistence, Patience, Talent & Intelligence is important to have success on “Work At Home” programs on the Internet. And finally it's also matter of L-U-C-K

I personally wasted about six months to find a perfect “Work At Home Business” I tried all types of “Affiliate Programs”, “Network Marketing” “MLM”, “Get Paid To...” “Secret Agent (?)”, “Data Entry Scams” and more! I'm glad to say that I did not loss much money. Anyway finally I managed to find a best “Internet Based Home Business”.

I don't know how to make Five Figure Six Figure or Seven Figure Income per month. But I know how to make a comfortable living on the Internet.
